Rehab Services in Meath

In Meath, Rehab provides services for over 265 people with disabilities at six locations, and as well as employment to 14 people, eight of whom have disabilities through its Rehab Enterprises service based in Navan.

Rehab is a leading non-governmental organisation which works towards a world where every person has the opportunity to achieve their potential. Rehab provides high-quality health and social care, training and education, and rehabilitation, employment and commercial services in Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, the Netherlands and Poland. The people who currently use Rehab services include young people and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, people with mental health difficulties, people with autism and people with an acquired brain injury. A range of essential services is also provided to older people, carers and others who are marginalised. Every year, more than 50,000 people and their families benefit from the supports provided by Rehab in over 250 locations.

In partnership with the Health Service Executive (HSE), RehabCare provides a range of high-quality person-centred services in Meath. These include two resource centres in Dunboyne and Navan which provide support to 101 people in areas such as personal and social development, independent living skills, community integration and part-time work. Activities at the centres include computer skills training, numeracy and literacy training, cookery, arts and crafts, digital photography, music and sport. In Navan there is also a residential respite service for over 70 children aged six to 18. This unique service caters for children with a physical and sensory disability, intellectual disability and autism. In addition, RehabCare provides a residential service in Meath for five adults with autism.

National Learning Network provides training in partnership with FÁS and the HSE for persons out of work through accident, illness, or disability. Its two centres in Navan located at the Mullaghboy Industrial Estate and Kennedy Road currently cater for 83 learners and provide the vocational programmes Employer-based Training, Fresh Start and Advance, and the rehabilitative training programme Access.

Rehab Enterprises in Navan manufactures, supplies and distributes nationwide a range of healthcare and personal protection products and employs 14 people, eight of whom are people with disabilities employed under the Wage Subsidy Scheme.
