Rehab Services in Leitrim
In Leitrim, through its divisions National Learning Network and RehabCare, Rehab provides services for over 100 people with disabilities at three locations.
Rehab provides high-quality health and social care, training and education, and rehabilitation, employment and commercial services in Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, the Netherlands and Poland. The people who currently use Rehab services include young people and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, people with mental health difficulties, people with autism and people with an acquired brain injury. A range of essential services is also provided to older people, carers and others who are marginalised. Every year, more than 50,000 people and their families benefit from the supports provided by Rehab in over 250 locations.
In partnership with the Health Service Executive (HSE), RehabCare provides a range of high-quality person-centred services in Ballinamore. These include a resource centre which provides programmes such as personal development, independent living, social and leisure skills, health and safety, and supported work experience to 35 people. RehabCare in Leitrim also provides a supported accommodation service for eight people and an outreach service to 20 people.
National Learning Network provides training funded by FÁS and the HSE for persons out of work through accident, illness, or disability. The centre currently caters for 30 learners in Carrick-on-Shannon and provides the vocational programmes Employer-Based Training and IT by Distance Learning, and the rehabilitative programmes Kickstart and New Voyages. A rehabilitative programme is also run from a centre in Manorhamilton for eight people.
