Rehab Services in Clare
Rehab provides services to over 40 people with disabilities in Clare through its division RehabCare.
Rehab provides high-quality health and social care, training and education, and rehabilitation, employment and commercial services in Ireland, England, Wales, Scotland, the Netherlands and Poland. The people who currently use Rehab services include young people and adults with physical, sensory and intellectual disabilities, people with mental health difficulties, people with autism and people with an acquired brain injury. A range of essential services is also provided to older people, carers and others who are marginalised. Every year, more than 50,000 people and their families benefit from the supports provided by Rehab in over 250 locations.
In partnership with the Health Service Executive, RehabCare provides a wide range of high-quality person-centred services. In Ennis, a residential service is offered for three adults with one further adult living in semi-independent accommodation attached to the main residential service. RehabCare also operates a children’s residential service in the town catering for four children in total.
RehabCare also operates a newly opened resource centre and day service in Shannon which offers such programmes as, community integration, personal development, independent living skills including self-care and cookery, and social and leisure activities including art and craft for 32 people. There is also an outreach programme which caters for four clients allowing them to maintain their independence within their own homes by learning to budget, shop, cook and housekeep for themselves.
